Funhouse Skate Shop plays on skating accidents in new ad series
Before I get into these awesome ads I found for Funhouse Skate Shop in Brazil, I just wanted to say sorry for not updating in a while, Cafers went on holiday to the arse end of nowhere and I’ve been mad busy with the work that pays the bills. Currently chilling in Berlin (yeah, I know you’re jealous) but wanted to get this up quick.
So, Fields of Brazil have created these awesome print ads for the Funhouse Skate Shop. Why so awesome I hear you ask? Well, because they use a really distinctive art style to provide a new slant on skating.
I know the cartoon style is an acquired taste, but looking that you’ve got a set of ads that combine two things I love about skating – accidents and dumb ass names for tricks. They’ve produced some lovely visual representations of the names of skate tricks (from tailgrab to nosegrind) in less than comfortable situations.
The images are below for you to dwell over, I’d love to get your thoughts on this one…
That’s your lot for today, but don’t panic. We’ve been keeping a list of everything cool we’ve seen floating around and will get some awesome work from Nike, Greenpeace and many others up soon!
